Introduction:
Confucius is a great thinker, educator, statesman, and creator of the thoughts of Confucian School, who lived in the late years of the Spring and Autumn periods (770-478.C.). He loses his father at his childhood and his mother at his teenage. His intelligence and hardworking enable him to have a good command of the Six Arts (i.e. rites, music, archery chariot driving, reading and writing and arithmetic), read widely and become a learned man well known throughout the country. By setting up private schools he educates many talented people with abilities to run a country. In order to maintain the social order he advocates the beliefs "to turn to the rites of the Zhou Dynasty", "to love all" and "to adopt the doctrine of the mean". He cannot make his political beliefs accepted by the state ruler even though he is pointed an high official at the age of 52. He gives up his position and wanders about with his disciples in a desperate plight with the desire to find a wise ruler to accept his beliefs. Fourteen years of his hard travel brings about no result and he has to return to his private school teaching students while compiling a book called The Spring and Autumn Annals inside which are all his unrealized political beliefs. The hard life of Confucius and his great thoughts are vividly described in this TV series, which, not to boast, can be called a rear historical invention with rich ancient Chinese culture.
