Introduction of Rui Fu Xiang:

Ruifuxiang Silk Store was established in 1893, by Meng Hongsheng, a descendant of Mengzi (Meng ke, Chinese Confucian philosopher). It was the most famous one of the Eight Old Firms engaged in trade of silk fabric in Beijing. Ruifuxiang provides complete set of silk products, including high-class silk and satins as well as coarse cloth and muslin, colorful cloth and cotton print, with soft and smooth feel and unfading color. As the best silk provider in China, The first flag of People's Republic of China raised in Beijing's Tiananmen Square on 1 October 1949 was made from Ruifuxiang silk, and it was named “China’s Time-Honored Brand” by Chinese government in 1985. Today, there is even a TV series called Meng Luochuan (the second generation of Ruifuxiang) tells the development of Ruifuxiang, the TV series was broadcasted in the golden time of CCTV-8.
