Introduction:

The Author, Dr. Jane H. Hu, received a doctorate degree in Medical Physiology from the College Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City. She was appointed a Member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS in Washington, D.C. She published five English poetry books in the United States and England and three Chinese prose stories in Taipei and San Francisco. Her English poetry received Awards in the United States and England, she was honored in the International Hall of Fame of Poetry and nominated as "Poetry Ambassador". The Author's English sonnets were selected and published as the first poet and poem in the "Best Poets and Poems of 2004", the "International Who's Who In Poetry" (2004 and 2005), and "Songs of Honor" (2006) which was published by the Noble House of England. The Author's Chinese and English book of sonnets, "Journal and Thoughts" is published in Beijing. This is the first book of successfully written Chinese Sonnets in the world, with the Author's English sonnets to be published simultaneously.
